Mission
I Did the Time is a grassroots movement of formerly incarcerated individuals and their supporters in Spokane, WA, working to end mass incarceration. The organization supports individuals and families overcoming barriers associated with past offenses by building community, combating stigma, and engaging in legislative advocacy.
History
Founded in 2012 by Layne Pavey, a clinical social worker and formerly incarcerated individual, I Did the Time began as a grassroots political advocacy organization led by those most impacted by mass incarceration. In 2016, it was incorporated into a nonprofit organization named The Revive Center for Returning Citizens.
