Mission

Greater Spokane Progress (GSP) is a collaborative network united to build political strength and equity in our community.

History

Founded in 2009, GSP began as a regional network of the statewide Win/Win Network. It brought together diverse organizations to strengthen collective capacity for long-term change in Spokane. Today, GSP is locally led and independent, comprising nearly 40 organizations working together to advance equity and justice in the region.

Programs and Initiatives

  • Spokane Progress Plan: A strategic framework guiding GSP's work, focusing on housing justice, police accountability, immigrant and refugee rights, smart justice, civil rights and equity, and climate justice.
  • Legislative Agenda: Annual policy priorities developed collaboratively to advocate for progressive change at the local and state levels.
  • Smart Justice Spokane: A coalition aiming to reform the criminal justice system to be more equitable and effective.
  • Racial Equity Initiative: Efforts to address systemic racism and promote racial equity through community engagement and policy advocacy.
