The event involved participants carrying a symbolic coffin and paper tombstones marked "R.I.P." for programs and agencies perceived to face cuts or elimination, such as Medicaid, Apple Health, child care, elder care, health research, fish protection, veterans’ services, PBS, human rights initiatives
